“Next Chapter” Audi Press Conference

“The Next Chapter” was the slogan for Audi’s activities at the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas from 6 to 9 January 2015. At the world’s leading electronics show, the brand with the four rings presented a range of technologies for today and a number of exciting projects for tomorrow.

The central focus of Audi’s activities at the CES was how cars communicate with their environment. The main themes were piloted driving, the new ‘Audi connect’ solutions, new infotainment components, media and advertising concepts as well as the latest developments in lighting technology.

Among the highlights on display at the Audi booth were the Audi prologue piloted driving show car featuring a hybrid engine, as well as a model of the new Audi Q7’s interior.
“Digitalisation and networking in all areas are the current mega-trends,” explained Professor Ulrich Hackenberg, Chief Technical Officer at AUDI AG.  “The car is becoming a ‘mobile device’ on four wheels. Connectivity is key to our future and a decisive field for our development activity. In the past we have often been first movers bringing new electronic technology to market.”
