Project Details

Audi delivered the Master Keynote at the first International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Asia. At the show, board chairman Rupert Stadler, Chief Technical Officer Prof. Ulrich Hackenberg and Chief Sales Officer Luca de Meo presented innovations in electronics as well as current mega-trends in mobility. Audi also presented a concept car.

“The most important electronics show in the world is being hosted in Audi’s most important market for the first time. It’s a matter of course for us to show a strong presence here,” commented Rupert Stadler, AUDI AG board chairman. “It’s not only Asian markets that will play a decisive role in the future of the car, electronic systems will, too.” In 2013, Audi opened a dedicated development centre in China’s capital. “It’s crucial to know the conditions specific to the region to ensure success for our technological innovations in our most important international market,” said Chief Technical Officer Prof. Ulrich Hackenberg. “Our engineering team in China provides, among other things, chassis adjustments, assistant systems, user interfaces as well as localisation of high-volt battery components.” Audi’s Beijing team also develops infotainment and connectivity features tailored to Asian markets.

“Audi’s success story in China proves that being close to one’s customers, understanding the market and influencing trends leads to long-term advantages,” commented Chief Sales Officer Luca de Meo. “In the coming years we want to put our business on a more international footing and develop innovative, region-specific mobility solutions for the customers and mega-cities of tomorrow.”
